I am writing this mail on behalf of GOONJ.. (www.goonj.org), a nationwide movement working on the issue of clothing.
Like last 2 years, DHL has organized a pan-Mumbai collection campaign from Feb 14th to Mar 3rd, during which people can call on 022-2658 5151 (or write to idonate@dhl.com). DHL will pick-up the material and deliver it to GOONJ.. Mumbai warehouse.
You can Contribute - CLOTHES (Old / New but in wearable condition), FOOTWEAR (in pairs - left and right tied together), UTENSILS, STATIONERY (Old/new notebooks, text books, story books, school bags, lunch boxes, water bottles, Pen, pencil, sharpener, eraser, scale, crayons/ colours), PAPER (Newspapers, magazines, one side used paper), DRY RATION (pulses, spices, sugar, tea leaf, rice etc), SEWING MACHINES, BICYCLES, COMPUTERS, SCIENCE LAB EQUIPMENTS, etc..
DHL/ GOONJ will issue an acknowledgment letter for the contribution, to individuals/ schools/ colleges/ corporate houses etc.
Do organise the camp in your residential society/ office/ school/ college/ institution. Feel free to write back to rohit@goonj.org for communication material (leaflets & posters) or for any query regarding the campaign.
